AN ARMY of shopkeepers will boycott Labour at the ballot box if the Government bans over-the-counter cigarette sales.

Posters will go up in thousands of newsagents across the country urging customers to back the protest if the Health Bill becomes law.

The Bill, which could kill hundreds of small businesses, will be debated by MPs tomorrow. A spokesman for the National Federation of Retail Newsagents said its 18,000 members were being asked to back the boycott.

A spokesman said: “While we support the Government’s intentions, a display ban is simply bad policy.”

He said the plans would not help to stop people smoking and could lead to a growth in illegal tobacco products. Promised consultation on the detail of the Bill had also failed to materialise.

Both the Tories and the Lib Dems oppose the Bill after a similar ban in Canada, Iceland and Ireland failed to reduce smoking among young people.

“Independent newsagents will not forget Monday, October 12, at the forthcoming election,” said the federation spokesman.

Hi, Rich. well, there are many brands with white filters out there, but I can recommend you the one I like the most. It’s Parliament Aqua Blue, you can check it out here – http://www.mydiscountcigarette.com/buy/parliament – I am sure you will like it.
